If Trump does exempt Potash from his tariffs after pleading from red states, the immediate response from Canada should be slapping export tariffs on it.

Export tariffs on Potash was one of the popular response items. Canada controls like 40% of the global Potash industry, and like 80% of the US potash comes from Canada. Basically farmers would be SOL if we turned that off, even more than stopping oil would pain them.
