My hope out of the current situation is that Trump takes his ball and goes home, but Europe is able to shepherd Ukraine across the finish line of the complete financial collapse of Russia thats coming.
My fear is that Trump is going to pivot to support Russia as soon as that looks like its clearly coming

yah he's 100% gonna be openly supporting Russia, only question is how soon. I think it will happen before this time next year. potentially much sooner.

Before this is said and done, Trump will eventually start openly sending weapons and ammo to Russia and explicitly taking their side in the war.
Everything else between now and then is just theatre to, as best as they can, sell to the American people that Ukraine are the bad guys and Russia are the good guys.
