Russia plans to launch large-scale lithium production in 2030

No doubt in my mind that trumps geopolitical plays are based on resource rights, shipping routes and a skeptical eye on China.

Lithium access is a boon for Elon

They’ll probably force state controlled banks to restructure the debt they own. It’ll have knock on effects for financial system liquidity, but that cost can be passed on to the sheople. Any banker who moans gets chucked from a high window.

oh, 100%. So part of the TLDR I was going to touch on was that the 2025 bond sales (about 12.2B USD) are falling short of repayments and coupon payments (12.5B) where their federal budget assumed bond sales was going to be net positive on the budget. So this is now on top of the decline in O&G revenues.

Also yeah, we can just assume it's VTB and Sberbank carrying the load here. I'd love to be able to crack open Gazprombank, as well as their defence industry and agricultural banks to see how much shit they're loaded with. The system holds, until it can't.

Something else funky is that they were forcing bond purchases to take lower rates this time around, which suggests that interest in the bonds have completely dried up outside of their state owned ecosystem. They were pushing a rate of 15.4% this time around, when other indicators suggested the rates are rising again, and probably around 22% now.

I can't wait for Trump to bail them out in the middle of their war.
