If he was easily replaceable with others, it would have been done already. He's slow, but he's a rock on the PK, a warrior on the ice, and a leader and mentor for the young players. I probably could count on one hand the goals he's been directly responsible for, despite being used in all critical defensive missions.

He wasn't a priority in rebuilding. Now he will be replaced. Easily.

I don’t think it side matters for Hutson, simply due to his edgework + shiftiness is amongst the elites of the league despite being a rookie

Their old man used to make the boys skate without laces on - forcing ankle strength + balance to manipulate skate blade / edge control. Hutson still practices on occasion without laces on

Yeah elite skaters can overcome.
 
This is quite telling...

Look what happens to Hutson's xGA when paired with Savard or Matheson. His xGF drops greatly as well with Savard.

Solid guys these two.

At least the xGF goes up with Matheson but the D? Oof.
