Les Habitants Prospects Thread

How does that work, is it a call up if he was on loan to SHL? I think he can be added to the Habs roster without using a call up

What’s with this Sam Harris dude in Denver? I don’t have a good read on prospects outside of the obvious ones (Rein, Hage, Demidov).

Is he a legit prospect or another Rhett Pitlick playing on a great team ?

HuGo needs to wake up and not go Bergy on us by trying to grind Fowler over a year of his ELC. As Trump says, they have "no cards". Monty is mediocre and Dobes is less than mediocre. We need a credible goalie.

When did Bergy do this? Not with Caufield anyway. But we never had many quality prospects anyway.

Bergy's favorite saying was "If you want a friend, get a dog". It's how we lost Markov and Radulov and how he likely pissed off a lot of players we don't know about, who either couldn't wait to leave town or refused to come because of his assholishness.

Favorite saying??

MB said that exactly once…after feeling slighted by Radulov taking the Habs offer to Dal to match

Bergy was always accused of overpaying for players but when he offered them fair contracts and they walked then it's also his fault. Can't win.

How was offering a one year deal to a 38 years old Markov an affront? Sure enough Markov had one decent year in the KHL before falling apart.

Bergy offered the same deal as Dallas to Radulov, a deal that aged poorly 3 years into that contract. He would have been chastised for that deal had Radulov signed with us.

the problem that year was that after failing with Markov, he signed Alzner which was a huge disaster, it was like after losing Judas, he traded for Dvorak who has taken four years to produce

Not true - Molson stated on Melnick’s show, they had a plan in place right after they lost game 6 to NYR in 2017.

Had $ allocated to re-sign Radulov + Markov (multiple 1-yr bonus deals), expose Emelin to VGK expansion draft & sign Alzner to replace him (not Markov) + ADD Drouin for increased offense (which is why it was done pre UFA day)

Now was Alzner the right target … that’s a fair criticism but they clearly had a Plan A in place their problem was having to scramble last minute because they were overconfident with no Plan B, C or D in place
