His Elvis is almost as good as his Jim Morrison.Loved Kilmer in True Romance
WHite Lotus season 3 has really shat the bed after a great premiere.
It just feels boring to me, and a big tease in alot of the storylines they are offering.I’m not even sure if I think it’s shit, or if it just feels vapid and empty after having watched Adolescence.
WL is the only show I’m currently watching live week to week, but any subtext/social commentary it used to have, all feels particularly surface level and unimportant now….it definitely lacks a ‘Armond’ level character this year for sure.
Also, im late to the party on Adolesence but fuck me that was good.

Granted they have a 90 minute finale to get it sorted, but for me it just isnt that interesting, the Goggins storyline ( save for a neat Rockwell cameo) just feels bleh to me. Maybe part of it is that season 1 and 2 were so good.
In the last episode you could argue the 2 most reasonable characters were Gary/Greg who might be the most dull villain to get into 3 seasons of this show, and Saxon the show's asshole who behaved accordingly to the weir request. I was expecting way more at that party in the 2nd last episode and it was just blech.Yeah for the calibre of the actors it all is pretty rote/boring.
Jason Isaac’s arc has been in neutral since episode 2….the three girlfriends storyline kinda feels like something we’ve seen a million times before in other shows (long time friends get together and the same dynamics from their youth all continue to play out)….Saxon/brother storyline had its shock value, but he’s kinda just a repeat of the kind of faux Alph Bro we saw in Shane season one…Belinda is pretty cheesy “good”, even though we know from past seasons she’d have gleefully pretended to like Jennifer Coolidge’s character and fake being empathetic towards her, if it meant bilking her for the cash to start her own business.
Love watching Parker Posey, but she feels wasted given how one note her character has been all season….same with Isaacs for that matter.
Rockwell stole the show in his reveal appearance, but other than that it’s been bland television.
Like, Issacs, we dont even technically knwo what he did....its just financial crime and him maniesting killing his family for 6 episodes. Goggins turns out to be a massive coward, just shoving the old man he's wanted to kill ( probably actual dad), the three ladies individually are doing a good job, but their collective arc feels tired, and underdeveloped, Gaitok, bro, that girl isnt interested and you suck.Yeah, and I definitely don’t care how any of these storylines play out in the finale.
