New Canadian Politics Thread

My riding didn’t have a Lib candidate sign in sight until this week, now suddenly they’re all over the place. It’s gone from likely Con to lean Con on 338, so the lib campaign seems to be hitting the pavement thinking it’s in play.

If you enjoyed this post, check back as I’ll be providing lawn sign analysis from now until election day.

My area, too. Red signs are everywhere, and this town is perpetually blue.

Feels reverse Trump vs Kamala. Cons pumping crowd sizes and enthusiasm and ignoring data. Exact same as dems did. I put less than zero stock on crowd sizes and anecdotal perceived enthusiasm. No shit, the younger conservative base are out there online and going to rallies raging over libs. Who gives a fuck really if the data doesn't line up.

Reminds me of when Pierre Trudeau called Robert Bourassa a "federalist of convenience". Smith is no different. She'll only agree to be Canadian if the country is run by a right wing nutjob like herself.

I'll say a prayer for them

Maybe lead the entire congregation in prayer instead? Use this one:

Where do you live though?

That's always going to be the biggest influencer in political anecdata. I live in the 705 and I've had to mute what feels like half of my facebook list because I'm sick of seeing shitty pro Pierre memes. Red Deer Ontario is gonna Red Deer Ontario.

New Brunswick.
