The H20 was the chip Nvidia designed for export to China under the Biden admin's limitations on what they could and couldn't export to China. So it just means that China will fall further behind in the AI race....I guess.

For Nvidia it means lower sales numbers because China buys a ton of GPU's. For China is means they'll find new and exciting workarounds to get more out of less like we saw with Deepseek already.

imo this will lead to China throwing less money down a hole chasing a technology that is inherently flawed and one of the biggest overhypes in human history and because the world is funny this way, probably push Chinese computer scientists in considering other pathways to AGI that they otherwise wouldn't have without US export restrictions, and this will make them far more likely to develop a path to AGI because LLM's isn't it.
