1st Rnd '25 Playoffs: The Battle of Ontario V - More of the Same - LFG!

so what looks like tonight's lines......Greig and Jensen weren't skating today again but i'm guessing they're still playing. On the chance they're not playing they'd be replaced by Highmore and Hamonic.

There should be a good stagger with the TB-FLA game tonight (6:30pm ET). Can hopefully jump back and forth and totally avoid the talking heads.

yup, I'd have no issues getting Woll a start, either. would like him to be on form.

Yeah, that’s an interesting idea. I have a lot of confidence in him too—my only beef with Woll in the playoffs last year was his failure to stay healthy.

Still, a little scary to switch away from the traditional playoff formula of picking one starter and riding him like a horse. Especially when the team’s been winning and Stolarz has been playing great.

I mean fair, but Stolie has already set a new career high in games played this year? If we wanna go on a deep run, ideal to have both our guys healthy. And I just don't see Stolie making it thru a full playoffs on a starter's workload in top form.

But I'm also getting way ahead of myself, as we still have so many opportunities to choke away this series in typical Leafs fashion

Really hoping TB can at least slow down / injure FLA a little bit before the next round.

It's weird that as good as they've looked this year and despite their pedigree I still don't have a ton of faith in TB (or fear of them).

Maybe it's because they've looked so weak against us - like they didn't have any confidence they could beat us. Vasi couldn't stop pucks and their guys didn't look dangerous in any of our matchups.

Meanwhile Florida made us look absolutely pathetic, even when missing a bunch of top guys.

is it tho?

I can think of a number of cup winners who switched horses during the playoffs - which is even more surprising given that like you said, most coaches have refused to even try it.

How many teams have sunk their playoffs hopes by sticking with one goalie instead of switching it up as needed, I wonder?

Truth is we'll need all the bodies eventually inba long playoffs run and up 2-0 vs OTT is as good a time as any to get Max back in the lineup.

Early season fresh Max was really good. Hopefully we get that Max. And swapping him and robby in and out of the lineup might be the best way to maximize both of them tbh.
And keep Patches relatively healthy and injury free 🤞

LOL...me to a tee...but I live in NL...so it gets late quickly :(
I was young and spry enough during the Raps championship run that I watched it all more or less live (still used PVR cause fuck commercials).

But now... and my body is up at like 5 am anyways, may as well embrace it.

I mean, doesn't help that the Leafs play super fucking boring hockey either.

That has the making of a great pesty line up. If max patch could add some weight behind those hits like earlier this year and be that net front presence for garbage goals. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think he bolsters you defensively even more. Patches has always been underrated for his D.
