1st Rnd '25 Playoffs: The Battle of Ontario V - More of the Same - LFG!

This will be a big game to show if this team has learned their postseason lessons coming up. If they still can play within themselves, shut off any sens’ hopes with showing at in the first minutes + actually closing up a series at home.

Would have to assume the Domi line will see a new face or two based on their usage/performance. I also am assuming Woll gets in.
 
Berube likely won’t go to Woll IMO, he defended Stolarz after the game and he’s probably thinking Stolarz got the team to 3-0, one not great start isn’t enough to change things up. If he struggles in game 5 I could see Berube going to Woll in a game 6 though.

But just win game 5 at home and this OT loss is no big deal. I expected the series to go more than 4.

This is the downside of playing low event hockey. One bounce the wrong way and you lose even if you have better scoring talent and goalies.

And obviously it gets harder as you move on and don’t have better scoring talent and goalies

But this is where Berube proves his worth. Can they actually finish a team when they have them down.
 
Easily our best game. Scored three beautiful goals. Stolarz gave up two on easy shots, the third was off a lucky unintended pass, and the fourth was bullshit. Matty hits the post on the ot pp. Of course we lose this one.

They seem to just be finding their stride, so will finish them at home.

Missed game, but caught scores & a few FI updates out of the corners of my eyes 'cuz hangin' with baby sis at Greek b'day dinner & fab Dvorak concert. Nevertheless, think the boys got this at home. Mayor Lurie's staff sends best wishes from City Hall. 😊

I fully expected a loss last night and not for the usual reasons, I expected the Sens were going to win at least one and every team wants to give their fans something to be happy about in their last home game of the year.

So, done. We've got the next one.

We better have the next one or.....
