Hellebuyck chokes again.

Well, the sport shows (Button,etc.) are talking about how Hellebuyck came up big in that game and did all he could. He did not.

Call it like it is. He played a good game. He also let in two that he should have stopped and that the other guy would have. It seem every time someone got the puck in the upper slot in these playoffs, I expected them to score on Hellebuyck. Whether he was obstructed or not. And they often did. Very poor playoff for him.

Anyway, despite occasional bursts. Winnipeg seemed to be playing tentative, on their heels hockey since the beginning of the playoffs. Just like other years.

I'm still not impressed, overall, with goaltending in these playoffs. A lot of questionable goals. Maybe I'm just used to at least one guy standing on his head consistenty through the playoffs in recent years.

I can't speak for the Carolina series. Like many in Canada probably, I saw hardly any of it.

Expectations need to be managed IMO - the era of the dominant G is over. Rocket launcher one piece sticks + ultra skilled players who are more fit than anytime in the past make it close to impossible for G to perform as they once did…. unless they’ve got size + positioning perfection… which further highlights Price’s accomplishments

I’m willing to bet no G will maintain 8-yr span of playoff domination the way Price did between 2013 - 2021 w best sv% of G w 20GP+
