I've got no qualms with that at all. If anything, those salaries aren't high enough. They should be in line with legitimately decent C Suite salaries but should also come with a bunch of corruption protections built in. Can't sit on the board of a publicly traded company for 10 years after leaving your MPP seat, permanently unable to work for a company that is registered as a lobbyist with the province.

Add in anti corruption protections like those and you can double those numbers on the screen imo.

Agree totally. Even municipal councillors in London ontario make like $70k meanwhile they're handling a 1.2 billion dollar annual budget. It's insane.

Idiots rage about politicians making professional salaries, and then rage when we can only attract rich people who don't need the salary, or less competent people who can't afford to be underpaid for their work like that, and then those same idiots wonder why governments aren't incredibly efficient.
