Sam Steel put up some gaudy offensive pts totals in juniors & AHL, but has been unable to replicate at NHL level w Ana, Minny and now Dal.

I’ve liked his game these playoffs, good speed could he be a late bloomer?

Nobody is trading first for a second regardless of circumstances.

On a related note, the pick compensation rules for offer sheets are stupid and need to change. Teams shouldn't be forced to use their own pick. It's highly disadvantageous for weaker teams, which are the ones that should be taking advantage of offer sheets the most.

Suggestion was never meant to be a one for one.
By the way Waddell made the suggestion himself on Toronto radio when asked about the RFA market a couple of weeks back.
