OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Vlad's about 15 WAR away from catching either of those two as a Jay. Odds are he'll make it, but the key for him IMO is whether he can have his "breakout" seasons more than once every 3-4 years. It's just frustrating not knowing whether you get the "good but not elite" Vlad that year, or the "competing for MVP votes" Vlad.

Hurry the fuck up

Vladdy is not his dad. That’s what disappoints people.

Will probably retire as the best Blue Jay position player ever (also quite possibly the most overpaid).

except that he's a better hitter than his dad.

wRC+ seasons by age 26, best to worst:

* = in progress
** = age 21
*** = age 20

Vladdy Jr: 166, 165, 132, 130*, 118, 110**, 106***
Vladdy Sr: 160, 145, 139, 130, 116, 15**
Delgado: 145, 122, 115**, 111, 101, 26

Total by Age 26, noting that Vladdy Jr played full seasons at ages 20 and 21 and the other two only had a handful of at bats at age 21 and none at 20:

Vladdy Jr: 3832pa, 137wrc+
Vladdy Sr: 3044pa, 139wrc+
Delgado: 2038pa, 120wrc+

From Age 22-26:

Vladdy Jr: 3075pa, 144wrc+
Vladdy Sr: 3017pa, 140wrc+
Delgado: 2036pa, 120wrc+

Bautista sucked before age 28 of course, but here's how he did in his absolute prime, after his 29yr old breakout, from best to worst:

Bautista: 180, 165, 160, 148, 137, 135, 123, 106, 81

3. Delgado (21-32): 6018pa, 139wrc+
