What happened to the iron dome? Between that and the US helping fire down their shit, I don't know how they're suddenly getting so many missiles through.

I think the Iron Dome’s wheelhouse is mostly shooting down small shitty rockets from Hamas or Hezbollah.

Sophisticated ballistic missiles are a completely different matter. And really, there isn’t any defense or technology available anywhere in the world today that’s particularly effective against ballistic missiles.

So how are they shooting down most of them? Just some good old fashioned targeted missile on missile?

Most of what you're seeing shot down would be cruise missiles. Ballistic missiles are very, very difficult to shoot down especially when the distances travelled are so short because they spend way less time in their most vulnerable flight phase than a longer range ballistic missiles would.
