Nah, I love Pascal and hope he wins. But he would be a suspect as fuck finals MVP if he doesn't have some sort of legacy game 7. If it's just another 19/8 Pascal game, it will be worse than Jaylen Brown's MVP from last year.

Among the dynamics apparently not working in Phoenix's favor: We can confirm our Sportsnet colleague Michael Grange's reporting Friday that Toronto — initially presumed to be willing to part with Jakob Poeltl if it meant landing Durant — maintains now that it would not even surrender Poeltl in a deal for the future Hall of Famer.

It remains to be seen how firm that stance is, but league sources say that the Raptors and their very underrated center have mutual interest in hammering out a contract extension in the near future if no trade intervenes.

The Raptors, as we've seen during various recent transaction windows, aren't merely a Durant suitor but have indicated that they're open to various trades in conjunction with a Durant deal as next week's draft approaches. I'm not going to say it's impossible, but I can't see how we make the money work without including 2 of RJ, IQ, Jake. Which is insane value for 1 year of KD.

This would have to be a pretty convoluted 3 way to happen without Jake.

Nothing, which is why I still think our "involvement" is being leaked by the Phoenix front office to try to get Houston, SAS, or Miami to give up what they don't want to give up.

There's an outside shot imo that we're involved as a 3rd team, but that's kind of the extent of it. I don't even really see the player we'd swap RJ for out there tbh.
