With or without playoff revenue, Geoff isn't looking for his next meal in a dumpster and all the available tickets for next season have already been sold. He can afford to show patience. It's probably the only legitimate advantage that a Canadian team has over a US one: the ability to say "Fuck the fans" and get away with it.

Agree - Habs roster construction needs a Bennett type 2C more than pure skill based one

But this trade clearly demonstrates Dach has zero value in the market place … maybe a mid round pick
 
So nothing happening in habs land this summer. This summer will be like last summer. We’ll get a late summer salary dump like Laine
