FWIW Miller puts up decent points, would have been our #1 defensive hitter, and takes HALF as many penalties as Orlov/Walker, and Ghost.

Well, he took half as many penalties playing for the Rangers. We all know how that transition goes.

I’m excited with what the potential is for Miller. I remember all too clearly the days of having players like David Tanabe, Tomas Kaberle, Jay Harrison, Haydn Fleury, Jake Bean and Jake Gardiner. I also remember all the talk about big #63’s “potential“ (RIP, Joe) and it was only when he’d get ticked off you’d see his size come out

I’ve not seen the recent regime make that many missteps when eyeing a player. My three regrets were letting Trochek walk, misjudging Gustav Forsling and KK falling short of expectations. But overall, I like the swagger of this front office and their willingness to swing for the fences.

Whenn we signed Tomas it was five years since I wanted him, I thought it was too late, and I was right. I thought the same about Nino and we saw how that worked out. So I’m not using that as a criterion any more.
