If Reinbacher is the price to get McTavish, I'm in. McTavish would be a fantastic fit, big center, lefty, right age, good motor. I like Reinbacher, but he's not established yet and has injuries issues already. Obviously it creates a hole in our pipeline on the right side but finding a top 4 RHD is easier than a top 6 center.

Verbeek has the owner breathing down his back, was for the first time in his 20yr+ ownership involved in end of season presser and made it clear his expectations are team will be competing for a playoff spot this upcoming season

There is zero chance Verbeek will take a chance at starting the season w a disgruntled player in the room - reports are McTavish is looking at ending up a 3C and not being in a position to put up top-6 numbers for his upcoming contract $$$$$

So if there’s any chance McTavish is disgruntled he’ll be dealt IMO.. package will include Matheson + …

Ducks weak link is LD - neither Mintyukov or Zellweger are ready to assume 20TOI+ on a regular basis, Matheson would provide that transition.

RHD is a much bigger weakness for them organizationally.
