So the adventure this past weekend was getting from BLC to South Lake Tahoe, and then next day up to Incline Village for the concert, then back to SLT for the night. Ordinarily prob'ly not a big deal except I didn't know about the Incline Village part until kid sis said "Oh, by the way. . ." about 23 minutes before we needed to get on the road; thought the gig was in SLT. Guess I'll pay better attention next time I order tickets for music in the mountains.
All's well that ends well. Found out the Pack partners with UC Davis on a few projects, which is pretty slick - two great unis partnering up, and it's a gorgeous campus with lotsa cool peeps, plus + + + the concert effin' rocked. Three favorite composers, three favorite pieces, and a conductor that hit it outta the park with a danged good orchestra. Half moon bliss, too.
