Why would you build a new stadium in the middle of nowhere?"

Photos show construction underway on a stadium in Buffalo, New York for NFL team the Buffalo Bills, designed by Kansas City-based architecture studio Populous. Commenters aren't sold on its location.
It's literally next door to the stadium they've played in since the early 70's. Pretty sure people know how and where to find it.

Foxboro isn't exactly a bustling metropolis either. Doesn't seem to affect the fans' ability to go to games.

Taking the stadium away would kill the local economy - most of orchard park depends on the income from turning their front lawns into parking lots and selling bottles of water.

Why not make a nice enclosed stadium like Minny instead of dealing with the shitty weather later in the year , if you spent all this money do it right .
Because football is meant to be played in adverse weather conditions. The Vikings gave away a huge advantage by moving indoors. Teams like the Bills and Packers are harder to beat at home when the weather turns to shit.

That place is a fucken shit show from mid November onward

Blizzards , brutal cold and then you hire drunks to shovel 12 feet of snow

There is no advantage when you have no traction and one slip can cost you a game

The Minny venue is gorgeous and Detroit did a good job as well

Detroit and Minny are pussies. I want snow, ice, mud, and anything else that will make players from sunbelt teams miserable for 3 hours.

As a lover of AFC north ball, I agree it can definitely be an advantage. The cost is they’ll never host a Super Bowl though.
Local fans cant afford SB tickets anyway and most events around SB week are for the high rollers and also insanely expensive. I'd rather have a stadium that helps get my team into a SB than have an indoor stadium that can host 2 other teams ina SB.

As Marv Levy used to say, "When it's too cold for them, it's just right for us."

Besides, they did have one SB outdoors at Met Life Stadium in NY/NJ a few years ago and it was fine.
