Geoff is so cheap. Just dropped $525 at the Canadiens boutique at the Bell Centre for two new Habs jerseys and they had the nerve to charge $3.00 for a bag to put them in. Seriously, Geoff? Tone deaf.
Don't blame Geoff. If you're dumb enough to shell out that kind of money on a 100% polyester jersey it's only natural for him to wonder about the depths of your gullibility by charging you for a bag

I feel your pain but it's a Canadian thing. Bought Mrs Count a $3000.00 Ferragamo bag and Holt Renfrew charged me for a bag.

Why would you need a bag for a bag? And if you can afford to drop 3K on a purse you can afford whatever extras they charge too. Again, after they have the 3K, they already know youre a sucker with deep pockets who they can exploit.

With the exchange rate I actually paid far less than that, obviously. Also, it’s the first jersey I bought for myself in 33 years so probably my last one too. Worth it.

Not holier than thou, just asking questions like your buddy Fly Guy.
Your "questions" were full of condescension and judgment. If someone wants to slap down $$ for jerseys and a handbag while being upset over a bag charge, it isn't a reason to call said person a sucker who deserves it. Tells me you probably never had real first class service in your life. Once you have had it, your expectations are raised.

Obviously I wasn’t upset about $3.00 but it seemed really chintzy on their part.

Hope for the best but expect the worst and you'll never be disappointed.

Your little parable just proves the point that money (apparently) cant buy happiness, or at least it can only buy so much after which you're not getting any happier. And those "expectations" you mentioned? That's also been studied. Research has proven that the more one has, the more entitled one feels.

But don't worry. There is a cure. It's called progressive taxation. 😃

It's Canadian virtue signalling (and Washington state). For a time, the city of Vancouver literally charged you for fountain drink cups. Get this, in one municipality, they charge you for a bag in drive thrus. I'm like where else am I supposed to put my fries
