Edmonton and to a lesser extent Calgary arent the problem. Big cities attract a diverse and generally better educated population. But go to the smaller towns and cities and its like rural West Virginia.
 
So will the budget pass?

I get the feeling Liberals both want the budget to pass and don't. Former keeps the government going while the US is in shambles, latter may help land them a majority in the elections.
 
It's win-win for him either way. Either it passes or an election is forced which can be blamed on the opposition parties. And aside from the Liberals, none of the other parties have any money to spend on an election campaign since they haven't had much time to fundraise since the last go round.

I want an election before the Cons can get rid of Pee-Pee. Then I want the Liberals to annihilate them at the polls and really piss off the western hillbillies. Then I want Carney and his majority to start ramming all the shit that the hillbillies hate straight down their throats.
 
For that exact reason, it will pass.

I expect we get a bunch of MPs abstaining. Normally in a minority parliament you’ll see concessions in the budget to another party that they obviously put in there to get the extra votes. None of that this time, so it will be harder for a non-Liberal to vote yes.
