I think reporters and insiders are different. Do insiders even exist in the NHL. When’s the last time one of them broke a story. In the NFL, there are actually a handful or so of legit insiders that break stories.

I wonder if... And maybe I'm just speculating here.. But there is a possibility that, and by no means is this a guarantee.. that we may see something.. and I want to make it clear that this is not confirmed, we may see something out of the box coming from the Leafs.. And I'm just wondering.. But it is possible that they may hire a coach without NHL experience.

Yeah.. Elliotte is a lot of that. He's most careful with his words and tends to not say things for clout like some of the others. It's a lot of fluff to sort through, but I do feel he often knows more than he lets on and only says things that he's pretty confident in.
