A core problem is police training. They're trained to dominantly assert themselves and be in control of every interaction. Which is understandable in some situations, but the vast vast majority of a cop interactions through out the day are with completely law abiding, normal ass citizens or who have done nothing wrong or unknowingly committed a minor infraction.
