Top forwards and D are all getting up there in age. And Eichel and Stone in particular have a lot of accumulated injuries & surgeries.

Plus the division is never going to be as easy as it was this year and neither will their playoff bracket.

So I don’t know that he’ll never get close again. But this year was definitely his best opportunity.
