After the initial signing frenzy dies down, I suspect at least 2-3 of the forwards on this list are still going to be on the market and begging for scraps into late July and August.

And I know the league is flush with cap space at the moment, but some of the figures on this list are still laughable. No one’s giving Michael Bunting four years of term or almost six million dollars per year. He won’t even get half that.

Marchment is slow. I hope they intend to get faster.

Its going to be real interesting to see how Chayka attacks this offseason. What type of coach will they hire, what types of players will they bring in, are they going to go all out for this year or more medium/long term focus. Who do they keep/dump.

All we know now is his process is very thorough. But other than that he's said nothing.

The only clue he has given is that he said multiple times that he likes skilled mobile d. Which is a far cry from "long d", so I'll take it.

But yeah, now he has to prove that he can address those needs in a competent manner.

Always players looking for work after the early UFA period

Every year you have that Brazeau, Geekie, JVR type on the cheap no need to give 4-5 mil for depth

Did that yesterday when bored. Halton deal is weak, likely need more going to Utah.

Yeah it's easy to fit all kinds of guys in.

Hayton is my first pick for 3C but i can't pretend he's a slamdunk great choice or thst we could even get him for a good price.

And i still don't see the urgency to move Mo - you could reverse your Mo trade there and Mo would still fit under the cap. I don't know that Mukhmulalal ie any good.

I also think Andersson is the wrong play for that kind of money. He looked pretty bad in the playoffs imo and i don't know that he's an upgrade over Mo. But that's just an opinion.

Marchment and Kane over Maccelli and Robertson is fine i guess but also makes us much older and slower and more expensive on the wings.
