I have a suspicion that it took him a bit changing positions.

If i was blown away in an offer for his contract, sure, but i think i hold him, if anything turn him back into a super sub if you can find a MI worth pursuing
 
I mean, we'll see how Bateman fares when the dust settles, but I think CF is the real place to upgrade and keep Lukes as a starter in left (Barger in right), and have Bateman (if he deserves it) be the fourth OF rotating in here and there.

SS you can definitely upgrade the bat, but the D is so good. Came up big just now in the 9th. I honestly like Gimmy, and the clutchness is amazing. If we can find someone with a great bat and good or even great D then go for it.

Kirk is great, Clement is great, Okamoto has been good. The biggest upgrade we need is Vladdy returning to old Vladdy form. Springer is still fun and worth keeping around, but as more of an extra than everyday, so DH is probably the other position to really make an impact add. Like Santander, but actually great and not total shit.
 
Lukes is 31, is a below average bat right now, good corner d but has a 1.1 fWAR.

Yeah that's a guy you can upgrade on. And if he has any world series stink on him, even better.

There is nothing in FA to upgrade on in CF, and truly good ones dont get traded, certainly not cheaply.

LF is the place to upgrade, looking at Suzuki/Arozaena/Happ/Kwan whoever.

DH is probably locked in but shouldn't be.

Lukes IMO is trade bait or bench, with Barger CF, XXXXX as the OF.

I pretty much agree on Gimmy, but lets not conuse this clutch stat with him being not a problem offensively, the D is very much worth it though
 
Angels beating the Rangers is great Astros, Rangers, Guards, Twins and White sox too is gravy.

O's and Tigers won, but you're never going to have a perfect night until you start passing teams, like the Mariners, who aslo lost.
 
Lukes is fine, but he should be be a platoon/OF4. Which is tough for us, since that's basically the profile of all our OF. Talents vary, but it doesn't make sense to have him, Bateman, Sanchez, Barger, Pinango, who all more or less fill the same roles. You can realistically keep 3 of them up, but you need 2 RHB to pair with them.
 
Yep. Doesn’t mean you can’t upgrade on him, but they’d need to add 3 better OF to push Lukes into a 4th OF role.

He should be platooned though. Barger too. They’re both brutal against LHP.
 
So odd how much people undervalue Lukes. He has basically all the tools you want from an outfielder. He’s not a star, but I don’t think he’s a fourth OF on any team in the league.
