That Hydro deal last week was strategically bigly, for sure.

Churchill… yah supply LNG to Germany/Rotterdam. Cuts outs the Russians too.

Good point re: post Panamax! And I think there’s already a potash terminal in Saint John.
 
Of the people to guide the country through this mess, he tops the list. In the last 1/4 century my tops would be Carney, Harper, Martin /Mulcair (at the same time because they are both brilliant) and then the rest would be awful… Could you imagine Ignatieff right now?GAWD.

There is. But we need more terminals and more infrastructure to move stuff. That Labrador project - the rift / gash / cunt / rut? Whatever they call it, the resources there are very pure and there is a power there for it to be refined. The issue is having people to do the work.

I didn’t like Trudeau’s immigration. Too many too fast. But at the same time, I’m pro immigration. We just need to do it better.

And if people are willing to go fucking smelt iron and make steel up north? Bring them on. In the 1930’s Cape Breton was flooded with people from the West Indies…

So much so that Marcus Garvey was there and spoke these words:

Man, Michael Ignatieff. I’d almost forgotten he existed. The guy who was devastated by maybe the most effective series of attack ads in Canadian political history.

And as it turns out, accurate too. After he quit politics, it only took him three years before he fucked off back to Harvard. And in the 12 years since, he’s never returned to live or work in Canada.

He truly was a pure entitled opportunist who was “just visiting”.

Yeah, I don’t think anyone here would argue #bothsides are equally bad. At least, hopefully not.

I have no respect for Newsom, but him as POTUS would clearly be orders of magnitude better than the shit-show we’re currently dealing with.

We just need to be clear-eyed about the fact that him and other Dems like him won’t be riding to Canada’s rescue. And whatever lunch money we allow Trump to bully out of us, a Dem POTUS will not be handing it back to us.
 
The DSA can fuck off. They’ll be more protectionist than the rest of them. Also? The Seattle flake? She’s be gone soon enough. Ossoff? He’d be ok. I think a Texan would sell well. But Ossoff vs super PACS? Might not have the capital to swing it.
