OT: American Politics

So the markets are way up and the Trumpers are all saying it's because of all the great deals Trump is making but just so we're on the same page... literally everything is the same as the post-liberation day crash pretty much, right?

No deals, no pause to tariffs and maybe a war with Iran and an occupation of Gaza?

yeah, the legal term for what the markets appear to be doing is "willful blindness"
 
Markets don't necessarily need a reason to go up. Other than, "the charts were over extended to the downside and many people are still shorting leading to massive squeezes." It's not as simple as "bad news down, good news up" otherwise we'd all be rich.

My post was just saying that every time people have pointed to a reason for a bounce, the reason has ended up not really being real or they've immediately thrown cold water on it.

We're in the same position politically we were after his Liberation Day presser.

Ya I was agreeing with you in that Maga was wrong for trying to find an explanation for the bounce.
