The bad news for Nikishin is that the expectation levels are going to be extremely high from the fanbase. The good news is that he is coming to the Canes and not Toronto or NY.

I wonder how long it takes for that visa to get approved...we all know the contract is not an issue, so if you get him on a plane you would think the only hurdle left is the visa. Meanwhile on the plane, Tulsky taught himself how to speak Russian and is now fluent...

Demidov is on his way to Canada according to RG. He only waited a few days in Turkey to get his visa. Obviously, it’s Candian and not a US visa, but it appears to be just a few days. Demidov is expected in the Habs lineup on Monday.

Ok. So I’m not up on prospects like some of you others than what I read here. How good is this kid supposed to be? We’ve obviously been excited to get him here so he must be pretty good but how good is he? Is he top-tier #1 or 2 or what? Thanks
