Despite your hatred for the Leafs and their past failures... they were/are a top team and had every reason to feel that they were contenders.

They were always a fraud team. The only difference between last season's Leafs and next season's is that next season nobody, either in management or among the fans, will be able to pretend that they arent a fraud.
 
They took Florida to 7. If they get slightly better goaltending, then they may have won it all. They are at least good enough to feel they had a shot.

But they DIDN'T beat Florida. In fact, in 2 of the last 3 games they got beat by a cumulative score of 12-2. They are a fraud. With or without Stolarz they were never beating Florida because the Panthers are not frauds.
