Uh, Treliving’s genius deal making is what led to McKenna. Chayka was just a bystander and beneficiary.

I’ll understand if you need to delete the post.

By the way, if Werenski really only wants to go to the Leafs, then that means we should be able to strike a deal for the Brady package. Four picks, with two of them in ‘29 and ‘30, the Avs 1st, and then something that’s the equivalent of the 9th overall next year. And we’ve established that Knies is worth way more than even the 4th overall, so he ain’t part of it.

But I don’t believe these bullshit rumors. Werenski doesn’t want to only play for the Leafs, if he even does at all.

In all seriousness, I really don’t even want us to be in on him all that much. If Rielly turns back into a 60-70 point dman this year, which I’m pretty optimistic that he will, why am I paying the moon to acquire Werenski and his two year deal?

I don’t believe we’re a realistic destination so I’m not sweating it, but I just don’t see the sense of blowing our brains out for him.

Should ditch Stolarz this offseason if we can. Chaykes made some interesting comments yesterday about his health and durability that made me think maybe he plans to find someone else, which would be great.
