Damphousse comes to mind. Zetterberg is another one. But both played center in junior (like most forwards that becomes wingers). Jamie Benn played center in the NHL despite playing wings in junior. Messier started his career as a winger until like his 5th season.

Lots of players are centres that start as wingers in the NHL before returning to centre. I don't think Slaf has ever.
Like you said... Damphouse was a centre in the Q, zetterberg was center and wing in SEL, messier was a mix of centre and wing in AJHL.
So we have Benn and Drouin as examples in the last 40 years?
