Given where Habs are in their development cycle + availability of top-6 talent factoring in sellers market… IF doable, Kreider is the ideal acquisition.

Kreider should seamlessly complement Suzki
/ Caufield allowing Slaf to slot w Demigod

Kreider still has blazing speed, is huge and doesn’t mind using that size for winning puck battles - in his last 8 seasons has missed 26GP total. 22G each of last two seasons on a $6.5M AAV.

Question is whether Verbeek would deal him & IF Kreider would waive for Mtl

By Thanksgiving, some teams will already be sellers, so HuGo probably gonna wait things out without forcing trades

Me thinks Hugo has stuff in the works but not willing to pony up X players salary

Hugio will pay the trade price not the player

Machenklo and his camp are probably looking at 11-12 mil and Habs have no intention at that number

I can see Kap taking a huge leap forward this year plus a much improved Bolduc
