Elvis Merzlikins, anyone? He wants to be a #1 netminder and his contract runs through 2026-27 @ $5.4 Mil/per. I think he's become too accustomed to losing and we've seen him abused more often than stealing games. None for me thanks. Who knows in the right scenario, but I'd rather see him...
Now is sort of the wrong time to be shopping for a goaltender...though the Hurricanes will keep sinking in the standings if they don't get a consistent puck stopper and it. just. won't. freaking. matter.

I want to see them score more than 2 goals again...if they remember how. We'll see how much good the player's only meeting did.
LFG 'Canes! Act like you're being paid millions to play a game.

I think the Hurricanes should see what they could get for Necas. Seems to be a weak link to me. His offensive production doesn't seem to overcome his defensive breakdowns.
Meanwhile, 0 for 4 has caused Carolina to slip back to 6th(!) in the metro division. Not a trend worth continuing.

Who here (besides me) still has the "Are You Ready?" T-shirt or ticket? I also have a sweatshirt from the Hurricane's first ever game against the Pen in Greensboro...and lots of other 'Canes memoribilia.

Aside from a smack upside the head, I have no idea what it might take to get this team playing like they're capable of. I guarantee RBA lit them up after last night's debacle. They may have caught whatever funk Edmonton had earlier in the year. Turn this thing around, Boys! We are not...
Long day at work yesterday kicked my @$$ and sent me to bed early. I just watched the "highlights" of this one and I'm glad I missed it. Edmonton clearly had their game on with revenge in mind and Carolina was just sort of present without voting. I can't remember seeing Slavin and Staal...
I felt bad for Kochetkov after the second carromed in. Both, just flaky bounces off Skjei. KK's goal was definitely an ignighter and Skjei's erased some bad mojo. You could sort of see Columbus realizing that they were Columbus & bad things were going to happen as Carolina tightened down on...
