It is true that she didn't really pick a lane between left/progressive and centrist. I think she's closer to the center at her core (far more than Biden was in his term, for example) but she tossed in some policies to cater to progressives and that probably backfired. Though, I'm convinced...

TLDR: the "Kamala is dumb" bit was pure propaganda based around out of context ten second clips. And it fooled tens of millions of people. Republicans, as usual, won the information war. Having a wildly popular social media platform sure did help.
