Russia does not have the ability to sustain this action forever. The US & Europe absolutely has the ability to support Ukraine until Russia falls apart. If Europe had the industrial military base they could do it alone on ecomomic strength if they chose to.
That's what a war of attrition is...
Pure theatre. It's a multiple warhead ICBM, that's it, that's all. The nature of ICBM's make them incredibly difficult to intercept, but they're also crazy expensive per unit with a limited payload. There's less bang in one of those than there is in the glidebombs they started using earlier...
Problem with the old school GOP is that even on items that sounded worth listening to, it was always just cover fire for bullshit. "Reduce the deficit" was always cover fire for Laffer economic nonsense that is the direct cause of this Gilded Age 2.0 we seem to be in now.
Serious question...but which one should I have and what does he actually stand for?
- On immigration, count me as a "secure the border with a path to perm residence" guy ideologically. That's nothing remotely close to Trump and I find his stance on immigration to be purposefully cruel, and...
Yep. It's dumb to frame this as an issue of individual choice/morality. It's an issue of societal level economic pragmatism. If you can't educate your people, your society won't function nearly as well. If the people you educate become debt slaves, you impair other places in your economy...
Fair, but if the Russians didn't completely re organize their economy as a war economy to buy themselves time before it collapsed, it would have. Capital controls can only go so far. They basically barred the door and have tried to cycle the same money over and over within the economy. It...
Am not an economist but I read one of Paul Krugman's books years ago so I'm qualified to TLDR this
- Russian corporations have loaded up on debt in 2024 (probably a signal that the domestic market has tanked and international sanctions are working to choke off their exports) and the coupon...
They're mad at what they've been told to be mad at. Their states are agricultural and resource extraction based because they've voted for generations to make it and keep it that way.
These people want to replace the USD with a crypto coin network that maxes out at 7 transactions per second.
It's a financial cult full of people who would happily watch the world completely burn if they temporarily got wealthy because they got in at 2 grand a coin.
A lot of bad shooting luck, but regardless they're a different team when Zach Hyman isn't a top 5 goal scorer in the league or RNH isn't putting up 100+ points. They've received some insane performances from good but just good players over the last few years.
You either have beliefs of your own that are important to you and you vote for those or you're a snowflake triggered by mean liberals and you vote against them.
Can't be both.
