I’m referring to MSL, obviously. I think he’s safe until the new year but if there’s no improvement once Laine is back . . . might be time to get ready for Pascal Vincent, or someone else.
Looks like four first round hits (Slaf, DR and Demidov) and one miss (Mesar), a likely 55-58 game starting goalie (Fowler), a third line center (Beck), another top 6 forward acquired via trade (Laine), two solid third line wings (Newhook and Roy), and a steal with Hutson. Solid work. Need to add...
Which is amazing considering that my son has played against him and his '08 Mid-Fairfield Jr. Rangers team (his younger son plays on that team) twice in the last 8 months - lost both times but by a goal. Can't tell if he can coach pros, however.
"General Manager" will probably just be an empty, but high paying, title with the Habs for a while (at least a couple of years) - Gorton isn't moving he and his family here just to be an "advisor" to the GM - but if I had to guess, I think Danny Briere will get the gig, and if not him then...
Yeah, I know, it’s only six games but you can see that this team is really good and, barring a slew of injuries, will be really good for the foreseeable future. Was it just the fear of losing his job that woke up MB (starting with the Pacioretty trade)?
Perhaps just above Detroit and Ottawa in the East? They’re now missing the equivalent of an entire forward line (Drouin, KK and Byron), have no backup goalie and have Ben Chiarot playing half the game. Ugly.
