Don’t see any chance of that happening. They could swap with Ottawa at 3 and still be sure of an elite C once the Sens took Laf and pick up some nice assets for the trade up.
I think a reasonable argument can be made that the team that got screwed the worst was the Habs. Bad team that lost their shot at the next French Canadian superstar Lafreniere.
