1st Rnd '25 Playoffs: The Battle of Ontario V - More of the Same - LFG!

Ottawa is a very young and inexperienced team. Tkachuk will be a handful, Stuzle and Giroux will dive all over the place. Sanderson is amazing. They have a good goalie. But this isn’t Tampa, Boston, Florida.

Meanwhile the Leafs are a vet team now, they play “playoff” hockey, they have a top PP, elite goaltending and a real tough D.

This is the first time the Leafs played a team they are clearly better than since the COVID season.

If they can’t get this done then it’s over.
Brady is getting way too much credit already before he plays a single game. Even his bro had only 3 goals, 5 assists first 3 playoff years.

I mean he's a good player, and he is definitely the kind of player that impacts playoff games where nothing is called. He'll be in Stolarz face all series, and push his weight around. He was awesome at the 4 nations.

But who cares. We have played against three of the best teams in the last decade over the last several playoff years who have multiple players as good and better.

Athletic Odds in the series released so far:

TOR 73 - OTT 27
VGK 69 - MIN 31
CAR 67 - NJD 33
DAL 54 - COL 46
LAK 50 - EDM 50

Sens lines for tonight look like the likely playoffs lines:

Tkachuk - Stutzle - Giroux
Batherson - Cozens - Perron
Greig - Pinto - Amadio
Cousins - Gaudette - Zetterlund

They're resting Chabot and Zub tonight so the D pairings are a bit of a mess. Usually it's been Sanderson-Zub and Chabot-Jensen, with any of Hamonic/Kleven/Matinpalo/Gilbert making up the bottom pair.
