2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread

Everyone talks about Richards being bought out and fine... but how Nash comes off generally unscathed is ridiculous. Mackenzie the day before yesterday was still bringing up his 40 goal season, and his multiple 30 goal seasons, and saying you can't give up on this guy. Unreal.....

I wish he gets bought out and only a place like Edmonton would pay him close to 6 million, cuz if I'm a GM I want no part of that margarine soft tool.

Trash didn't even score a single point in the Cup finals. 3 goals and a minus player in 25 playoff games.

For the first time in my life, I can't wait to hear what Doug Maclean has to say about something.

They've been making excuses for him and pretending he played well "despite the numbers" the entire series from what I've heard though. They're not gonna stop now.

Man o man if Im a Rangers fan then im livid at Nash and Richards; piss poor efforts for sure

If I'm Sather and Vineault I'm pissed with the majority of the Rangers team (saved for Lunqdvist). The way the Rangers preformed last game was atrocious, I have never seen such a pitiful effort from a team in my life, from the 3rd period to the 2nd OT the Kings were all over them outshooting them by a wide margin, winning the puck battles along the wall and doing a great job at hemming the Rags in their own end for long stretches.... really the only reason the Rangers have made it this far in the playoffs is because of their goalie primarily, if he wasn't one of the best goalies before he currently has cemetented himself in that area.

Lundqvist has been one of the best goalies in the world since the lockout - in 2004.

My guess is he avoids the subject altogether. That or he can't talk with Nash's balls in his mouth.

He'll likely make up some bullshit excuse about how solid LA was at shutting him down and that he is still a 1st overall pick (Mclean loves to brag about that). Really Nash was never a 1st liner, never a powerforward, never worth the hype... sure he's a skilled player and sure I'd take him on my team BUT he's nothing more then a slightly above average 2nd liner and that is IMO what he's always been.

An above average 2nd liner is what he's always been? He's scored 40 goals twice. He's scored 30+ goals seven times. He's scored 60+ points four times and 50+ 8 times. Exactly what kind of production do you think second liners are putting up?

I get that you just generally like to regurgitate whatever consensus you are picking up, but try doing some research.

And I swear to god if you reply with a numbered list I will burn this place to the ground.

Maybe he needs to start hearing the bold truth from the media to light a fire under his underachieving ass. Then again, I like him being a non-factor when he plays against us.

and remember of those three goals, all came against our third string goalie or our backup. He never scored on a starter in all of the playoffs.
