Because nobody ever trades a player right after they're picked. If we were going to consider a deal around that, it would have been done at the draft for our pick.

I understand the stats but everything I've read about Sergachev has me believing he'll be a top pairing guy. Has all the tools, the demeanor and work ethic to succeed by most accounts.

I'm very happy with the pick as well despite arguing that I would have traded the pick based on probabilities. While top pairing is a real possibility for Sergachev, it remains a best case scenario.

Probabilities are 99.9 % he will be better than anyone not named PK on our blue line , I see no less.
