.But of the 11 players the Canadiens took in the draft this year, one came from Quebec, fifth-round pick Samuel Houde, a centre with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens. It was the first time the Canadiens drafted a Quebec-born player since 2015.
Timmins’ batting average seems to have gone down under the current management, something Timmins suggested by using the word “mandate” when talking about adding size in 2013.
timmins did better under gainey than MB
Barely. Besides 2007, he butchered the 2003 draft, did ok in 2004-2005, blew up the 2006 draft, and completely missed the 2008-2011 drafts with the exception of Gallagher.
2006 was a mandate as well - get a RDman..Barely. Besides 2007, he butchered the 2003 draft, did ok in 2004-2005, blew up the 2006 draft, and completely missed the 2008-2011 drafts with the exception of Gallagher.

TT said his intention was to draft Fisher in the 1st due to the lack of RDman in the system and use the mid 2nd they had for Giroux. Not so sure given that apparently it was very much between Giroux and Fischer.
the needless risk taking of Kostitsyn in what was a HOF laden first round in 2003, combined with the David Fischer pick 3 yrs later should have ended Timmins career with the Habs by 2010

Who knows the dude seems to say a lot of save my ass stuff.
good thing it didn't because 1 year later: Subban, McDonaugh, Max
They still would be drafted by Habs because , as I mentioned in my post, I fire TT in 2010 after the Fischer and AKos did not pan out.
