2021 Season Thread

So it looks like we have 11 protected lists in out of 18.

3 Replacement managers needed for Balls Deep, Hairnova, and Matrim.

Jonas standing by to take over for 1 of them.

Still missing Protected Lists from:

- Bull
- Tully
- Action Jackson
- Taco Time

Is this correct?

Does anyone know how to contact any of these 4?

Also still need at least 2 new managers, preferably people who understand what a dynasty league is.
 
14 lists are in, and it looks like we have 2 replacement managers lined up. We still need 2 more so that we can get the ball rolling on a dispersal draft, followed by the regular draft.

If you know anyone who might be interested, post here asap! I just posted on another league thread and Wade is interested in joining, so hopefully he'll post here soon. If he's in, just need 1 more!
 
For the new recruits, we are replacing 4 managers this off-season, and will hold a dispersal draft shortly for the new managers to pick their teams from the 4 open rosters (still need 1 more manager!)

Awesome, welcome aboard! I just sent you and Kris invites through Fantrax, you can go in and take a look around, change your team names, etc. The 4 team rosters that will be available in the dispersal draft are:

- Matrim
- Action Jackson
- Balls Deep
- Hairnova
 
we usually give a couple of days to prepare, though we are really pressed for time this year. Still need 1 more manager so i can't imagine it would start before wednesday or thursday. Draft will likely be in a thread here on the message board.
 
For the new managers - please feel free to trade a dispersal pick with the managers in the dispersal draft, but also the managers outside the dispersal draft. You might be able to work a win-win deal for your teams composition (eg. maybe you want a younger player in return for an older vet with less years remaining).

The GM's in this league will try and fleece you, but fleece them first! :)

Stubby Clapp is the other team.

My apologies gents, I was under the assumption I was taking over a team. I only became aware of the dispersal draft last night. I had already dropped four players from my roster which was obviously premature. I'm glad to be back in the league and I'm embarrassed by how much I have forgotten already about how this league operates. (Maybe that's age though).

Anyway, I'm back and looking forward to the dispersal draft.

Technically no roster should have more than 56 players anyway (20 protected, 6 unprotected, 30 minors) so no big deal to drop any excess players. We considered just assigning teams, bu the dispersal draft just seems like a better and fairer way to let all 4 new managers have a say in which players they get on their teams.

That being said, time is of the essence and we still need to fill that last remaining spot. Sending out the "bat" signal again .....
 
Still need 1 more manager... asking again, does anyone reading this know someone who might be interested?! Let us know asap.

Otherwise, we will decide today whether to mod-manage the 4th team or contract it. And let's plan to start the dispersal draft Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

Just processed the draft lottery for the 1st overall pick (weighted lotto). The result is that Balls Deep retains the 1st overall pick.

Not sure exactly how this works in Fantrax and whether it needs to be done ahead of the draft or at these specific points in the draft, but remember we have some compensation picks that slide in:

2021:
• 2018 Allstars (Blueman) receives pick #11 in the 1st round.
• Iceman receives pick #12 in 1st round.
• Iceman receives pick #13 in 1st round.
• Habspatrol receives #12 pick in 3rd round.

Yeah, Deckie and I discussed this earlier and were trying to come up with a fix in Fantrax, when the site had some technical difficulties and we had to stop for a bit. I forgot about these earlier or I might have said we should just do the draft offline to make it easier.

Deckie created 3 ghost teams to make these picks. You guys can tell Deckie who you want in those slots, and he can make the picks and move them over to you in Fantrax. (Edit: The picks are yours now)

Unprotected Players from the lists posted by Taco and Blueman have been dropped in Fantrax. I think that's done for all teams now.
 
A reminder that the draft is set to begin on Sunday at 12:00pm EST.

Also a heads-up that we temporarily changed the waivers period from 2 days to 1, so that waivers can be run before the season begins. As a result, once the draft is done, teams can put in waiver claims for the next 24 hours.

you held a pick from a team that doesn't exist anymore so when we restored the picks from 2021 onward to all the new teams last year the outstanding picks became mid round compensation picks for the teams that traded for them
