Florida vs. Washington - I'm calling upset here. Florida's points record is a fucking liar (4th in the East in regulation wins), Bobrovsky is a sieve who had a hot 1st half (and has been shit for a few years now), and I'm not convinced that their style of play carries over against a team of violent hooligans (Florida actually plays like what we traditionally are accused of playing like).
Carolina vs. Boston - Carolina should have won, but then their goalies died. Even if Raanta isn't dead, he's never far from his next injury. The Ebug jokes won't have the same punchline against the Bruins.
Toronto vs. Tampa - I mean, they have to show up eventually like spring hockey matters more, right? They're honest to goodness better than Tampa. Gotta actually do it now. Fuck my ptsd, I'm calling it.
NY Rangers vs. Pittsburgh - Might call this an upset too I guess, but the goal differential says that they're pretty much equivalent, and NYR's nerdies are kind of terrible on the season while Pittsburgh is actually real gud. Shesterkin might whip out his cock and just win the series by himself though, kind of like he's been doing all year.
Colorado vs. Nashville - Smesh
Calgary vs. Dallas - Smesh...some really mediocre teams got in on this side of the bracket
Minnesota vs. St-Louis - I'm going against the nerdies here. I'm pretty skeptical of teams that don't win regular season games in regulation at a high level. There's no 3 on 3 or shoot outs to rack up points with. The Blues are smoke and mirrors, but I think it holds for one series against a pretty inexperienced bunch.
Edmonton vs. LA - Some men just want to watch the world burn. If the Kings can stay out of the box, they can win this series. Best way to keep McD and Drais to reasonable production is just to stay out of the box.
