Someone's going to get amazing value with Barlow in the second half of the draft.

What's so weird about the Arizona draft is how they used both of their high first round picks on players that are pure projections. They took two players from one of the weakest Junior leagues in the world. The caliber of play in the MHL is dreadful.

Not to mention, there's no best-on-best competition to use as a sample to compare those players against the other draft eligible players.

Simashev and But are purely uneducated guesses. If they hit, it's purely by luck.

This feels like the 2018 draft....Habs take KK at #3 (a reach according to most), then Coyotes take Hayton at #5 (another reach) by fear that they will miss out on centers since there's not many in that draft.

Same thing seems to have happened this year....Habs take the top dmen at #5, then Coyotes reach for the Russian dmen out of fear of missing out since there's not much high end dmen in this draft.
