I haven’t given up on Primeau (elite playoff run) and these 2 kids took significant strides last year

I haven't given up on Primeau either, he looks to be finally putting it together, but I see him at best in a platoon situation.

Habs have some "nice" pieces in the crease but none are elite level ceiling.

Ya. They drafted two giants recently as well. Guess the strategy is draft a goalie each year and hope one pans out. Not a bad strategy when it comes to goalies but even more question marks than the D imo.

IMO, the roster is riddled with question marks.

Suzuki might top out at 65 points
Cole might be a 2nd liner/pp specialist
Half of our lauded D prospects might turn out to be Juulsens and Beaulieus.

I choose to be optimistic but we don’t have that many “can’t miss” prospects so I acknowledge that a lot can go wrong. I wouldn’t fixate on the goaltending position, where you only need one guy (that is often developed by another team)

Just need an elite dman, elite goalie, and elite centre. No big deal.
 
Would love if we can turn dvorak/anderson/allen into another top 15 pick + prospect. We combine that with our hopefully top 5 pick and we'll be set at forward for prospects. We have enough D prospects where I expect 1 or 2 will be top 4 maybe even top 2. Guhle/Logan have that potential. We'll also need some team friendly deals at some point.

Maybe one of our prospects steals the #1 spot one day

They are so hit and miss
