2024-25 Canes Miscellaneous Thread

Who here was around to meet Gordie Howe when he came to the IceCaps and skated warmups with the team, and signed autographs in the concourse?
 
No changes at practice this morning. I guess Jost took some shifts with KKs line? And all of the 4th line skated, so we’ll have to wait until the morning skate tomorrow to see if there are any changes. Andersen was listed first, so I imagine he’s starting.

No Pesce at Devils practice today (no reason as of yet - probably just an off day) and Siegenthaler is on the ice apparently (out since Feb so I would not expect to see him in game 3)


CONFIRMED - Pesce is just a day off

More than. Pesce was busting his butt from the first shift to the last ... mostly covering for Dougie ... as was NJ's second best skater according to Game Score. The fact that he only registered a +1.5 score is a good illustration of how Game Score doesn't accurately reflect overall defensive impact, IMO. It was by far the best I've seen from him in a Devils jersey.

I complained about driving to Greensboro with my kids on a school night. And those games started at 7:30. But they both got proficient in doing their homework in a car.

Spent many nights doing the same with my dad going to the Nassau Coliseum. My mom never knew.
 
Neither team is practicing today, so the Devils will still be without Hughes, Dillon and Kovacevic tomorrow. Keefe referenced the awful play of the PP referencing that plays were there but not made.
 
RBA says he doesn't know anything about Andersen's condition, he's being evaluated now and may know something tonight.
 
Either way, I'd expect Kooch in Game 5. Once he got into the game he played pretty well and you certainly don't want to push it with Mr Fragile.
