2024-25 Hurricanes Prospects and Minors Thread

The prospects camp roster is finally out. Josh Nadeau is back as an invitee. Several of the Russians from the 2023 and 2024 drafts are here to….Siryatsky, Aramov, Rykov, Yarovoi. Nils Juntorp, the throw in with Hall is here too. Blake Biondi, who was drafted by the Habs in 2020 but never signed is also here. He played 4 years at Minnesota-Duluth and 1 year at Notre Dame and then played 7 games for the Wolves at the end of the season. He’s a 6’1”, 200 lb. right shot center.

OMFG!! I just realized that Charlie Cerrato was issued Snuggles old number (45). I hope none of that softness rubs off on Cerrato. Maybe if they washed the sweater in gunpowder, or piss & vinegar it might help. I suspect there's little to no chance of Charlie's game ever going limp, but the voodoo with that number is strong.

The Canes extended qualifying offers to Skyler Brind'Amour, Noel Gunler, Domenick Fensore, Ryan Suzuki and Ronan Seeley. Ty Smith, Yaniv Perets and Anttoni Honka were not qualified and become UFAs.

Whew ... dodged the "let's just extend them and see how it goes" bullet on Perets and Smith. The other stuff is just logical. Honka just isn't a North American kind of player and the others are all fine where they are. Suzuki has arbitration rights and might be tough to re-sign though.

He replaces Spencer Martin as the starter in Chicago and the 3rd goalie. It should be him and Khazheyev in Chicago and Quapp in Greensboro.
